How to Connect a Domain to a Website

Learn how to connect any domain to your Zyro website

Updated over a week ago

To appear online, a website needs to have a unique virtual address – in other words, a domain name. Zyro.com, bestjeans.store, and learnmath.net are all examples of domain names.

You can easily connect any domain to your website – follow the steps below 👇

Connecting a Domain That's Registered at Zyro

1. On the Websites page, find your website template and click Manage.

2. Open the Domain section on the left, and click Connect your own domain:

3. Select your domain name and click Continue.

That's it. Give the domain some time to finish the connection process. It usually takes up to 24 hours – within that time, your website will appear online 🚀

Connecting a Domain From Another Provider

1. On the Websites page, find your website template and click Manage.

2. Open the Domain section on the left, and click Connect your own domain:

3. Choose Use a domain I already own elsewhere and click Continue.

4. Insert your domain name and click Continue.

5. Select your domain provider. If you're not sure about it, select Other and click Continue.

6. Follow the given steps on the screen:

  • Sign in to the website where you've purchased and registered your domain name

  • On your domain provider's website, find the domain's nameservers settings

  • Delete all current nameservers and insert these two Zyro nameservers instead: ns1.dns-parking.com and ns2.dns-parking.com

  • Once you replace the nameservers and save the changes on your domain provider's website, go back to Zyro and click Replaced them

That's it. Give the domain some time to finish the connection process. It usually takes up to 24 hours – within that time, your website will appear online 🚀

NOTE: If you use an email service outside Zyro, make sure that required DNS records are present in your domain's DNS zone after pointing your domain to Zyro; e.g., if you use Google Workspace, these (or similar) records should be set up in your domain's DNS zone at Zyro
