To appear online, a website needs to have a unique virtual address – in other words, a domain name. Zyro.com, bestjeans.store, and learnmath.net are all examples of domain names.

You can connect any domain to your website and it's really easy – just follow the steps below 👇

  1. Connecting a domain that's registered at Zyro

  2. Connecting a domain from another provider

Connecting a domain that's registered at Zyro

1. On the Websites page, click Manage and open the Domain section on the left.

2. Click Connect your own domain.

3. Insert your domain name and click Continue.

That's it – simply give the domain some time to finish the connection process. It usually takes up to 24 hours within that time, your website will appear online 🚀

Connecting a domain from another provider

1. On the Websites page, click Manage and open the Domain section on the left.

2. In the Domain settings, click Connect your own domain.

3. Insert your domain name and click Continue.

4. Follow the steps on the screen: you will be asked to sign in to the website where you have purchased your domain name.

5. On your domain provider's website, find the domain's nameserver settings.

6. Delete all current nameservers and insert these two Zyro nameservers instead: dns1.zyro.com and dns2.zyro.com

Note: If you're asked to specify IP addresses for each nameserver, take a look here 💡

7. Once you have replaced the nameservers and saved the changes on your domain provider's website, go back to Zyro and click Replaced them.

And that's it! Now, all you need to do is give the domain some time to finish connecting. It usually takes up to 24 hours.

Note: If you also have an email service outside Zyro, set it up by adding the required DNS records to your domain's DNS zone at Zyro, too. For example, if you use Google Workspace, these are the DNS records you need to set up 💡
