You can choose from these options to take your website down:
Disconnect the domain and reconnect it once you're ready to publish your website
Delete the published template and continue working on its backup copy
Create a landing page and hide the rest of the pages you're still working on
Disconnect the domain
To disconnect the domain, on the Websites page, click Manage:
Go to the Domain section (or click Manage domain) and then click Disconnect domain:
Once your custom domain is disconnected from your website template, the DNS records are automatically deleted, too. After reconnecting the domain, remember to re-add your DNS records otherwise some services (e.g., email) may not work.
Delete the published website template
If you delete a published website template, your website will go offline. You can duplicate your website template before deleting it and continue working on the duplicated template.
To delete your website template, on the Websites hover the mouse over the ellipsis button (⋯) and click Delete:
Once you delete a website, the domain is automatically disconnected and the domain's DNS records are automatically deleted, too. After reconnecting the domain, remember to re-add your DNS records otherwise some services (e.g., email) may not work.
