Enabling inventory tracking for products

Anytime you add a new product to your online store, the system will automatically set the inventory count to unlimited.

Unless you're selling digital products, you most likely have a fixed number of products that are available for customers to buy.

You can set up an inventory count like this:

1. In Online store settings, click on Catalog and then Products.

2. Next, open the product you want to edit.

3. Toggle Stock Control by clicking on Manage and entering the number of items you have available for sale. You can also track the stock levels through product variations (the different colors and sizes available).

4. Next, determine when you want to receive low-stock notifications, and save your changes.

Tip: Remember that if you change the payment order status to either Cancelled or Refunded, the quantity of the products will be automatically returned to the total stock quantities.

Hiding out of stock products

You can either show or hide products that are out of stock in your online store.

To hide products that are out of stock, go to your store's Settings. Select the General settings, and then navigate to the Cart & Checkout tab.

Next, enable Hide out of stock products to now show products in your store that are out of stock. Don't forget to save your changes.

Adding a quantity field to product pages

Let your customers tell you exactly how many units of the same product they can order with a quantity box.

Adding it to your product pages is easy:

1. In Online store settings, click on Design and then scroll down to Sidebar.

2. Under the Add to Bag menu, select the Product quantity option. Your customers can now specify how many units of an item they want to buy. Don't forget to save your changes.

Removing In Stock labels

If you want to hide the In stock labels on your product pages, do this:

1. In Online store settings, click on Design and then scroll down to Sidebar.

2. Under the Add to Bag menu, uncheck the Show availability labels and Number of items in stock options.
