First, make sure that:

  • Your Facebook page is public and your website is published (instructions).

  • You have added your pixel's ID to your website (instructions). P.S. Make sure there are no multiple IDs. The pixel ID should be added only once, as adding a second Facebook pixel to the online store or the site could cause duplicate or incorrect data in reports.

  • You have verified your domain for Facebook (instructions).

  • (optional) You have added your website's domain to the allow list on Facebook pixel settings (instructions).

Inspect your website's code

1. Access your website online.

2. Inspect your website and make sure you're on the Elements tab.

3. Copy your pixel ID.

4. Search for the ID in the website's code: click anywhere on the code in the Inspect tool → click CTRL+F or CMD+F → paste the ID and hit enter to search.

Use the Facebook Pixel Helper extension

The Facebook Pixel Helper extension shows if the integration is valid and what events are being tracked.

1. Follow this link and follow the on-screen instructions to add the Facebook Pixel Helper to your browser.

2. Access your website online.

3. Click on the extension to view the data. You will see both general data and event information.

Note: If you can't find the extension in the browser bar, click on the puzzle icon (the top right corner on Chrome) and pin your most-used extensions so that would be always visible and easily accessible.
