Updated over a week ago

Adding a custom font to your website is a great way to make it unique and representative of your brand identity. It's easy — just follow the below guidelines to spice up your text ✨

Uploading a custom font

To upload your own font, follow these steps:

1. Within the website editor, click on any text element and select Edit text:

2. Expand the font menu and under My fonts, click Upload. Select a file from your computer to upload:

3. Finally, select the preferred text or phrase and click on the new font to apply:

Supported font file formats

The recommended font file formats are .WOFF and .WOOF2.

However, you can upload a font file in any other format (e.g., .OTF or .TTF), as the website builder automatically converts it to .WOFF or .WOOF2.

Online resources for custom fonts

You can browse and download free fonts online, for example:

You can also create your own font by using Calligraph. Simply select the characters you will need, design them via a given template and download your personalized font once it's done!

Troubleshooting

If you're facing an issue while uploading a font, follow the steps below.

Firstly, check the title of your font file. If there are any special symbols (- , . _), remove them from the font file name and upload it again:

If the font upload still gets stuck, check if the file you're trying to upload is any of these formats: .WOFF or .WOOF2. Normally, you can upload a font file in any other format (e.g., .OTF or .TTF), as the website builder automatically converts it to the recommended ones. However, it may be that an unexpected error occurred, and the file wasn't converted successfully, therefore it can't be uploaded.

A quick solution is to manually convert the font file to .WOFF2 and then upload it again. You can use Font Converter for that.
